Vice President's welcome for the year 2012/13

Hello and welcome to Abertay! I am Sarah Samson, your elected Student Vice President for the coming academic year.

I would like to take this chance to say congratulations to all new students here at Abertay and thank you for all the support from returning students.

I am here to represent you the students in any way possible, from ensuring all societies are run properly to campaigning with and for you in a range of social and cultural issues. We (the Students’ Association) are here to fill the gap between the students and the University. The Students’ Association aims to challenge and question the University on matters that affect you the students.

My advice to you (whoever you may be and whatever you may be studying) is to get involved! You can get involved in many ways, by joining a society, becoming a class rep, playing a part in campaigns (whether your role be big or small) and much more.

In order for the Students’ Association to represent the student population successfully we need your feedback so please do not hesitate to get in touch. You can do this by popping into our offices, located on the second floor (Sports Bar) of the Student Union, by email (s.samson@abertay.ac.uk) or via www.facebook.com/UADSA.VP. If you would like your ideas or comments to remain anonymous you can always drop a note in our comments box which you can find just outside our office.
