We always love to hear from new people! 'Cause we're a lovely bunch of bakers. The main person to contact regarding any matters is Captain Cupcake who can be reached on 0800995@live.abertay.ac.uk. Below we have certain sections for people and organisations who we hear from often, or would like to build more of relationship with! Whilst it is roughly the same drill for each of these areas we would appreciate if you would read over the relevant section before dropping us a line.

Looking for Membership?

If you are looking to join the Abertay Cupcake & Baking Society then feel free to drop Captain Cupcake an e-mail on 0800995@live.abertay.ac.uk. Alternatively if you're free on a Thursday at 6pm then feel free to pop along to Bar One to find us having a meeting about our next project! We should post on our site or the Facebook page if we aren't planning to be there that week but if you're not sure feel free to drop an e-mail by us!

Charitable Organisations

If you are a charitable organisation looking for some bakers then we would love to hear from you! So far in the year we have baked for Children in Need, NAT and our Student Association's general RAG fund! And right now we are talking to Health Poverty Action about doing something in the new year.

The Cupcake & Baking Society are committed to helping a wide range of charities ranging from children's charities to charities effecting those in old age. We will accept and review all requests from a range of not-for-profit organisations. We do not intend to choose a specific charity to support within this academic year at all bake stalls.

Whilst we review and consider all charities that send us e-mails we cannot gurantee that we can help. Due to resources (such as people able to bake - as a new society we are still a small size!), being granted permission to hold the event and academic commitments (during the months of December and May things can heat up for university students!) bake sales cannot be possible all year round. We will however promise to consider your request and get back to you with an honest answer.

Business Sponsorship

The Abertay Cupcake & Baking Society does not currently have any sponsorship from a specific business. We currently are looking for a sponsor in order for us to expand into more projects by providing us with funds and equipment.

Sponsoring us woud also bring about benefits for your business. We are currently looking into getting hoodies for our members and your logo would appear on the hoodie in a noticeable place. We would encourage members to purchase personal equipment from you (assuming you are a food/baking company) and also at any bake sales (in the university or outwith) we would have leaflets on our tables. Also you would gain your own page on this very site where you can advertise your business (we however can not allow you to update this yourself - it would be put up on your behalf).
